CRANK UP 2025 CHARITABLE DONATIONS

Following the success of the 2025 Saffron Walden Crank Up, the team who run the event on
behalf of the East Anglian Traction Engine Society were delighted to be able to make monetary
donations to five local charities and organisations. The charities chosen were ones with allied
aims in preserving local heritage, and/or provide a service to the local community.
The Saffron Walden Crank Up is a steam and vintage vehicle show which takes place annually at
Carver Barracks, on the former RAF Debden airfield. Every year the show features a wide range
of vintage vehicles and attractions and aims to provide a great value day out for all the family.
This year’s donation recipients are as follows:
Dig It Community Allotment providing engagement and training for people of all ages and
abilities, including senior citizens and those with Alzheimer’s and dementia.
